How come the gingerbread house won't stay up?

We had the same thing happen the first time we did a REAL gingerbread house (we always did graham crackers on a box)..we found a few things:

1. the gingerbread was too thick, or it wasn't cooked enough (overdone is never a bad thing)

2. prop the walls up on both sides when you glue them together, and let them dry overnight. Don't put the roof on until the side are set.
