I baked my ginger bread and froze, well wrapped, 4 days before Christmas I will thaw out pieces and decorate.
I will let you know if this works not always enough time to bake and decorate all at once.

 Stale ginger bread

I have a recipe that I make from scratch. I have had the ginger bread displayed for 2 months and it was still tasty. Sometimes it gets a little stale but a good recipe will still taste good.
